Download Roster Report for Mac.
A small app that reads Messages on your Mac, so Roster Report can remember your people. Nothing changes on your iPhone.
What you need.
- A Mac with macOS 13 or laterVentura, Sonoma, Sequoia or newer. Check in the Apple menu › About This Mac.
- Messages on your MacSigned in with the same Apple ID as your iPhone, so your texts show up there too.
- Messages in iCloud RecommendedSo your Mac has your whole history, not just new texts. On your iPhone: Settings › your name › iCloud › Messages.

Open the download and drag Roster Report to Applications
It’s in your Downloads folder. Double-click it, then drag the Roster Report icon onto the Applications folder.
Open Roster Report. It’ll walk you through two permissions
It opens the right page of System Settings for you. Switch Roster Report on so it can read Messages, then click OK when it asks about Contacts.
Connect your account
Click Connect in Roster Report. Your browser opens, you sign in, and that’s it. Then pick your people and text Roster Report from your iPhone.
Don’t have a Mac?
You can still use Roster Report. Import screenshots of your chats and text Roster Report from your iPhone. It just remembers less, because it only knows what you show it.
